Assignment Questions

  1. What were the principal reasons for starting the quality improvement effort?
  2. What was the baseline situation? The first implementation steps?
  3. To what extent the strategy defined ("Conceptual Basis") reflect the ideas of Total Quality Management?
  4. How is the involvement of the human resources (particularly the physicians) achieved?
  5. What are the results far, and what are the next steps?
  6. If there would be a new attempt to merge the 2 hospitals, would the HCI be in a better position now?
  7. Look at the EFQM model. Rank in how the HCI is doing for each of the subpoints under the 9 criteria.
  8. What National Quality Assurance Systems exist in YOUR country? How are they enforced?
